12 volt cooler

Since refer is shot I plan to purchase a 12 volt cooler. What is the best brand to buy?? Would I plug into cigarette-lighter while driving, then 12 volt outlet (by sink) when on shore power? Anyone out there using this type of cooler? :question:

I have a Kool Mate 40 by Igloo. It will keep things 30 degrees cooler than the outside temps. I use it to keep things cool while I am traveling, but do not think it would replace a refer. very well.

It won't keep things frozen at all.

Thanks I'll check out that Kool Mate 40 by Igloo. Don't think I'll need anything frozen, just cold drinks-soda, milk and water.
