Our new travel trailer (so new that we haven't picked it up yet!) comes with 30 amp power. Will we safely be able to plug into a 50 amp power source and if so will we need an adapter?
There is a 50-30 adapter that you can use to plug your trailer into a 50 amp. plug. That does not mean you have 50 amps available to you. You still have a 30 amp. trailer.
I agree with Ken. I would suggest that you do carry an adapter and I would buy the "dog bone" style which has a plug and an outlet connected by a short length of cord. They work much better than the biscuit type.
