Allison Tansmission Question

I have 3000 6 speed on my 2004 Allegro and was told that you could reset/reprogram the transmission by removing and replacing (after 30 seconds or so) the fuse going to the transmission located at the chassis batteries.

Anyone heard of this?

If true, what’s the procedure (when/how-engine running/off)?

You can reset the ECU by unhooking the chassis battery on the negative side. YOU cannot reprogram the trans yourself, however a Allison center can reprogram certain parameters like gear the exhaust brake go's to like 3rd instead of 2nd which is what most are set to.
