Allison transmission

I have 2008 Fleetwood Discovery on a Freightliner chassis with a Allison 3000 series tranny. I checked the level of fluid the old fashion way with the dipstick and found it to be low. I continued into the coach and pushed the up and down arrows which checks the level and found the tranny to be 3 quarts low. I purchased Transynd (very expensive) and added two quarts which brought the level up to fulll on the dipstick, but the auto still shows three quarts low. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. The coach was up to operating temp (200 mile trip) and was on level ground.
