    Hi Everyone,
Just purchased our 5th wheel and we have only gone to 2 short trip campgrounds. Now we are going on our first road trip (so excited  )
Going to Austin TX from Grand Rapids Mi. We only have 2-2 1/2 days to get there. Need route suggestions, place to rest for a few hours and anything we should avoid that only your experience can help with. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum, Rose!

Here's a sample (there's lots more on the real thing like names of RV parks) of what Good Sam's club can give you as far as a trip planner:

Turn South on I-196 for 77mi
Turn West on I-94 for 83mi
    Cont. West on I-80 I-294 for 5mi
Cont. West on I-80 for 3mi
Turn South on I-57 for 369mi
Cont. South on I-55 for 133mi
Turn West on I-40 for 117mi
Cont. West on I-440 for 10mi
Cont. West on I-30 for 304mi
Turn South on I-635 for 9mi
Turn West on I-20 for 12mi
Turn South on I-35e for 48mi
Cont. South on I-35 for 138mi
1301 miles 22:17 hours Approaching Vicinity of Austin TX

AustinLoneStarRVRsrt-Austin (TX) Good spot to stay; a little pricey; need reservation
CrestviewRVPk-Buda (TX) Sparce spot to stay, but cheap. On the site of good RV dealer/service center.

I've been on some of the southern part of that route.
