I'm new here and tried to post about a half hour ago but I think I logged out before it was done, so please forgive me if this shows up twice. I had a question regarding cargo carriers. The kind you slide into the hitch receiver. I'd like to hear some pros and cons on them. I just got a 2007 24' class C motorhome and I was thinking of installing one on it to carry firewood. I found one rated at 500 lbs which would be more than enough for the amount of wood I'll be bringing. Are they safe. Anything I should know before I do this? Thanks for any help. Also, I just wanted to say how glad I an to have found this site. I belong to a fishing forum out here in California and I can't tell you how much I've learned from it.
