    The First Annual Casita Rally

    Rocky Mountain National Park

    July 30 - August 2, 2002

The First Annual National Casita Rally is being held at Rocky Mountain National Park, July 30 to Aug 2, 2002. Scamp, Bigfoot, Burro etc. also welcome.

Meet other Casita owners; enjoy a Chuck Wagon Potluck and "parade" up and over Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuously paved road in the continental U.S.

Reservations should be made as soon as possible. Both full service RV parks, Winding River and Elk Meadow expect to be fully booked by next spring. Also consider booking additional nights before or after the rally; there is so much to see and do in RMNP. Don’t delay!!!

Winding River Resort: On July 30, we will meet at Winding River Resort, a Good Sam's RV Park with services in Grand Lake, Co, on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park. Make your reservations at Winding River ASAP; call 1-970-627-3215. Tell them you are with the Casita group. Some of us are coming in a night or two before.

    July 31 and Aug. 1, 2002

We will camp in two groups for the second part of the rally, July 31 and Aug. 1. Full services are available at Elk Meadow RV Park (formerly known as Blue Arrow RV Park), ... or dry camp at Moraine Park Campground inside Rocky Mountain National Park. Take your choice.

Elk Meadow RV Park: Make your reservations ASAP for Elk Meadow RV Park, a Good Sam’s RV Park with services in Estes Park, CO. Call Elk Meadow at (800) 582-5342 or (970) 586-5342 to make reservations for July 31 and Aug. 1. Tell them you are with the Casita group.

Moraine Park Campground, RMNP: Water, restrooms and a dump station are available, but no hook-ups. If you choose to dry camp at Moraine Park, on July 31 and Aug. 1, the earliest date to make reservations is March 5th, 2002. Mark your calendars. Call the National Park reservation hotline at 1-800-365-CAMP (2267) on March 5th. Tell them you are with the Casita group, request "Loop B." They will try to keep us together in one loop. (The National Park Service sites, and are not fully on-line at this time.)
