I am seriously looking at a Chaparral Lite fifth wheel, model number 269BHS. It is well advertised as a lite towable fifth wheel, and marketed as towable by half ton pickups. That surprised me. Are there any of these owners currently out there, and currently towing with half tons? If so, what has been your towing experience. Also, have you been happy with this trailer? I currently have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.7L Hemi with 3.92 axle. Thanks in advance for the responses.

What is the weight of the Chaparral unloaded and loaded? What does your owner manual tell you you can tow? I towed a Cougar 27 ft with a 1/2 chev 350. Was not satisfied and traded for a chev diesel dually. Just guessing I would say your Dodge should be able to handle it. Is the Dodge a 4x4? If so height could be a problem but there are ways around that. I like for the trailer and truck to be level when hooked up.
