Converting electric brakes to air brakes

We (RVUSA.com) received an email from an RVer in Spain who was reluctant to post his question because of the language barrier. Here's his (edited) question:

A few years ago I bought a Cashay Carriage Carry Lite 531 RL. I am trying to register it here in Spain but in Europe electric brakes are not allowed. Some people have told me that there is a kit to transform the electric brakes to air brakes. Is this true? If so, do you have recommendations for a good brand of kit to purchase? I have friends in the US who can help me with shipping. I would appreciate a response. I adore my fifth wheel and I would like to register it and enjoy it. Thanks, Alex.

If you have any info or suggestions, I'll send them along to Alex.

Thanks in advance!

I have not heard of straight air brakes on a travel trailer, but we have converted one to Disc Brakes. They are powered by an Electric Hydraulic Pump. The brakes are Hydraulic Disc and they work great.
