Cooling Question on Class C / 32'

We're looking to rent a Class C for a week this summer. Something like a 31' Coachman Freelander.
When driving, does the cab/engine air conditioning adequately cool the rest of the RV OR will I have to run the generator and overhead A/C to keep the main living space cool?

I own the same vehicle you are going to rent. You will have to run the generator to cool areas behind the driver and passenger.
