Dog ramps

We have a new class C motorhome with two foldout stairs and a third stair built in to the coach. Two years ago we rented a Cruise America RV and did Route 66 with our two Greyhounds. They had no problem negotiating the stairs, but that RV was lower to the ground, and all the stairs were built in to the coach. Our new RV is slightly higher off the ground. Now, one of the dogs has a problem getting up the stairs (mostly age related), and the other is just a spook.

I have looked at various dog ramps and I'm curious to hear from those RVers who have used dog ramps. I am not sure if I should have a ramp that reaches all the way to the coach floor, or if just ending the ramp at the built-in coach step will work. I am considering either a 72" or 84" ramp and the incline angle will, of course, be different depending on which size and where I put the top of the ramp.

Thanks
