elect. vs batterys

    hi all, question, when hooked to land power and i disconect house batterys i don't have any lites etc. doesn't land power override the batt system?? oris it just me....................

    No your system runs on batteries the shore power runs the converter to charge the batteries and it also runs anything in your rv that is 110 powered. You have to realize all your lites are 12 volt not like the first rvs many many years ago that had both 110, 12v and gas lighting. As well as 12v and 110 plugs.

    Not sure what you mean by disconnect the house batteries. They need to stay turned on. The 120 V converter keeps them charged as you use the lights, fans and other 12 V fixtures.

    thanks for the info., i throught that maybe the converter bypassed the system for 12v.thanks again................safe travels all..............
