Ok everyone what do you use for a TV in your RV? I know this might generate a large anount of responses but what I'm asking is for the part time dry camper with no generator and occasional full hook ups?
I have seen TV/VCR combos, how do they work on 12v? How long? What other electrical appliances are there that run on 12v?

Hi Mdh4u, color tv/vcr are's are power hogs, when boondocking we use a small (5") black & white TV, a portable battery powered radio. With full hookups we just use our reg 19" color tv and vcr. Hope this helps. :)

LCD screen and DVD is the way to go for significant battery entertainment usage...

I found a voltage stabilizer at www.amperordirect.com which regulates battery's 10V~15V output to a clean 12V output, and it works fine with my Sharp LCD TV.
