Euro model Class B motorhomes

Does anyone know what the implications are to importing a european model class B motorhome? i.E. are there D.O.T. and/or E.P.A. standards that must be fulfilled? Also, can anyone answer why Euro model RV's (which are traditionally fuel efficient) are not available in the U.S. market??

They are available. The Dodge Sprinter (Daimler-Chrysler) chassis is a tall narrow European style Class B with a Mercedes 5 cyl diesel engine that gets good milage (20+mi/gallon). What more do you want? Check out Pleasure-Way and Roadtrek Class B's

Re: Euro model Class B motorhomes

Thanks for the reply . . . but I really would like to know if someone has an answer to my question. I'm particularly interested in European Motorhomes built on the VW Platform, i.E. any of the Karmann models . . . as for me for I'm not a Daimler Benz fan. ;) :approve:
