How do you look up zipcodes while traveling, if you don't have your computer with you? Is there a book I can buy with the information...Thanks, Rita

Have you checked with your Direct TV agent? They might have something like that.

If its not on the sales receipt, ask the clerk. Yell at the person stopped next to you at the red light. Before you leave on a trip, print out the zip codes for your expected destinations. Unless you're truly boondocking, I can't believe there wouldn't be somebody around that new the local zip code.

Look at this site. You can download a Zip Code Database that will allow you to look up the zip codes offline. It does cost $29.99 but you would have it forever.

Here is a place that has different databases at varying prices.

Rita said "if you dont have your computer" snowbird. LOL I use the reciept from the bill or ask someone locally or lastly check the local post office for zipcodes there or enroute to where ever I am going.

You can get a copy of the zip code directory on CD from the USPS, but you do need to replace it every few years as zip codes do change or are added from time to time. In most cases, the old zip will be close enough to get you on the satellites that you need, even after a change so an annual upgrade will not be needed. You can order the CD if you visit this link:
