[Jon] My owner&#039s manual doesn&#039t say much about cleaning the fresh water tank. On my old camper I used white? vinengar and water, but I can&#039t remember the ratio. Also I&#039ve heard of using baking soda. Any suggestions?

Fresh water tank cleaning - help

    [LAdams] Jon,

When I sanitize (clean) my fresh water tank after winter storage I use about 1 cup (1/2 cup to 1 cup is fine) household bleach to 40 gallons of water...

Pour the bleach into the tank, fill with water... "Pressure up" the system pumping the solution through the water lines and let it stand for 24 hours (after draining antifreeze)...

Drain the system and fill with fresh water and flush out the lines and tank again and fill tank again with fresh water and you should be ready to go...

If the chlorine smell and/or taste is too strong for you, drop in a little baking soda or baking soda tablets...

    Best Regards,
    Les

[Tom] I use the same steps. It has worked well for me.
