Are there any disadvantages or problems with adding a gooseneck adapter to my fifth wheel and using my existing gooseneck hitch?

    RE: Gooseneck Hitch

Hear some manufactures will void the warranty if you use one. Not real sure about it. See quite a few campers using them. I already had the gooseneck hitch and was thinking about it but opted for the regular fifth wheel hitch. I do have to pull it out when using my gooseneck, but it's not that big a deal. It's only in when I'm using my fifth wheel anyway.

I'd worry about the torque applied to the pin box. Is there was an 'under the bed' mount hitch which could have either a gooseneck or a 5th wheel hitch installed as needed?
