Folks,

I'm looking for advise - I have looked and looked to find the MFG specs on my truck - and I have not been able to find it from the MFG. What I did find was conflicting information regarding that the GCVWR, but it appears that it is 22K. And if I look at the Dry weight of the trailer and curb weight of the truck @ 12,160 and 5907. that is just over 18K. Leaving about 4K for cargo. TO confuse matters I found several postings that rated my truck with a FW towing capacity of 16K.

Can someone please point me in the direction of definitive specs?

Thanks

Kevin

paulm235,

That is one of the pages that I already saw - and if I understand it correctly the 12000 refers to ball hitch weight and the (16000) is 5th wheel, with 22000 as the GCVWR

Please tell me if I am wrong here.

Thanks

Well from what I can find out, 16,700 is maximum allowable for a 5th wheel trailer. This was on a 2007 model 2500HD.
