ignition problem

My 1999 Gulfstearm Sunvoyger is doing something odd when I try to start the engine. When I turn the key to the on position, all gages and lights move as they should. When I move the key forward to ignition, I get nothing. When I bring it back to on and then forward to ignition, it will start. Any thoughts? Its a Ford V-10 Triton. Thanks so much.

ignition problem

The neutral safety switch on the Ford may be a little out of adjustment but, don't think turning the switch back and then to start would indicate this. Try wiggiling the gear shift when holding in start position and see if it starts.
