Need Help Atwood Gas water heater manual ignite

Husband and trailer are out of town, spent the past 5 days trying to light the water heater. Purchased a new control and cleaned the gas tubes, still the ignition will light then the burner lights then POOF it all goes out. He is in need of a hot shower in a big way LOL. I came home, does anyone have any suggestions.

"Almost" sounds like you may not be holding the pilot light button down long enough for the thermocoupling to get hot enough to stay open on its own. Just a guess. Try again but hold the button down for a good 10 sec. after it lights. ????????
