Purchased a Jayco 29g with delivery in late Nov. It will
have the standard opitions pluse 3 others, camera and monitor,
inverter and a entertainment center. I would like to tow my
2001 Chevrolet Tracker but I have no idea what the gcvw is.
Anyone have a idea what the gcvw is? Or maybe a telephone
number at Jayco where I might get this information. Any help
will be appreciated.

Hi deltabob, welcome to the forum, you didn't say but I take it that this is a motorhome? What chassis, Ford or Chevy or other? The wts will be detremined by the chassis mfg. Enjoy the new rig when it comes. :)  :bleh: ;) :approve:

Thanks Gary B. for the reply. I should have know better. Yes it is
a class c motor home with a Ford E-450 super duty with a v-10. I
found on the Ford site they say the gcvw is 20,000 lbs for this
chassis. My thinking is by the time Jayco adds to this frame the
gcvw should be less. If I am right Jayco should have a new gcvw.
That is what I was trying to ask. Thanks for any help.

Hi no Jayco doesn't lower or change the GCVWR that remains the same / Ford sets that, what happens is this when Jayco completes the MH then after that wt. is what you have left for towing.
For example lets say the MH weighs 15000 lbs as you get it and have it loaded to travel then it has 5000 lbs available for towing. You'll also need to know the GVWR that is what the chassis is rated to handle on its self, lets say its 15000 lbs and the MH weighs 12700 with options before being loaded then it'll have a net cary amount of 2300 lbs, hope this helps some. :)  :bleh: ;) :approve:

Maybe I read this wrong? You bought a motorhome from a company that you don't know how to get ahold of?
