Anyone heading to New Orleans? we just got back from a 10 day trip, and highly recommend the "Bayou Segnette" state park, on the Westbank right across the Miss. river in Westwego, it is absolutely gorgeous! cost us $6.00 per. day with Gold Card..reg. $12.00. Close to everything, easy to get to the French Quarter, day trip to Biloxi, Gulfport, day trip to Baton Rouge etc. For kids 2 pools a giant wave pool, a reg pool with baby pool. about 8 boat launch spots, with big parking lot for trailers. etc. the park is all blacktop roads even long drive for RV, plus concrete patio...Wow! what a place and they have modern cabins right on the water to rent, can fish right off the deck, part screened, part open. Just thought we'd pass this along to Ya'll.we plan to make this trip at least once a yr. Happy travels!
