Hello, I'm new to the RV world and wanted to know what weight and size travel trailer should I be looking at? My tow vehicle is a 2009 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 1/2 ton 5.3L. The GVWR is 6800 and the payload weight is 1468. I was told to stay under the 5000 range just to be safe. I'm looking at buying a 2011 joey 249. The dry weight is about 4000 lbs.. I was just wanting to know what the max weight I should be looking at is. Also do I deduct the hitch weight from my payload weight? Thanks in advance for any help. We just want to get a light weight triple bunk trailer if possible.
