Outside TV Antenna

Hi everyone,

Need help. Whats the best outside TV antenna that cost $50-$150. I got 2004 Cabin A, 15ft. no room for crank-up type. I have a boomerang antenna now and its the pits. I'm looking to upgrade in my price range. Showing three from eBay that I would like to talk about.

Hi Jerry and welcome to the RVUSA Forum. I used a winegard antenna like the #3 on your list on my travel trailer. It worked okay - not great, but okay. The #2 on your list is for satellite, so if you plan on getting Dish Network or Direct TV, that's the one you will need. It won't pick up regular broadcast TV. I'm not familiar with antenna #1, but it looks like it would stick up a little higher on the top of the RV than I'd be comfortable with.

Hi Jerry, how is the pollen in Augusta? it is horrible here in Midland. If you would to go with Satellite they will provide the antenna for there unit. But as Jim stated no local channels.

Thanks Jim, #2 is out for me. I'm not planning on Direct TV.

Hollis, the pollen was everywhere last week. This week, thank goodness for all the rain. Always bad Masters week.

Looks like I may go with pop-up antenna, unless something better in my price range.
