Overnight in Lancaster, PA

Hi: Newbie here. Everything that could go wrong for our belated maiden voyage, has. Due to DH's illness, we missed our original blast off. Looking for an overnight this Columbus Day weekend, just for the practice of it. The weather here in PA is getting too cold for full service. And, the campground we sought in MA is full. So, let's go south.

Any suggestions for an overnight for Friday of this week, somewhere in Amish Country. Not looking to shop, at all. Interested in relaxing, looking around,-- not a tourist area such as Bird in Hand.

We are leaving from PA; we have a 24 ft. Winnebago, View.

Thanks. Ed and Sheila :)

Try Raynes Lake . It's near Hesston, Pa. 1/2 hr east of Altoona or 1+ hr north of Breezewood on the Pa Turnpike. It's a state park , cheap , & wonderful. The campground is called 7 Points .

Hey sheilpa2, welcome to the forum. Try Country Acres RV in Lancaster. It's about 4 or 5 miles East of Lancaster on US Hwy 30.

White Oak CG just south of Strasburg , within 10 miles of Lancaster. Nice , well run CG that we have enjoyed staying at. There are a LOT of Amish in the area so watch out for buggies ! They have an auction there one night a week.
