Roof Maint

Can anyone recomend some good products to seal seams on a class C motor home? I think it has a rubber roof.
I'm most concerned with the seams where the front and back alumnium meets the rubber membrane and around vents.

Hello and welcome to the forum!!

With rubber roofs, you have got to use a "Self Leveling" sealant. Dicor makes the one we use. You CANNOT use caulking you find at Wal Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. Go to your local RV dealer and he should have some on the shelf, like I do.

I say walk your roof twice a year. In the Spring and in the Fall. Check all joints and reseal as necessary.

I agree with Ken. The best is no doubt Dicor as that is from the company that made the roof material. There are other brands that work but make sure that you use one that states "approved for rubber roofs." Also make sure that what you use has no petroleum products in it.
