Rookie Renters from UK

Hi all

We are planning a short trip from San Francisco to Roseburg, Oregon and back between 30th March and 9th April. The plan is to get to my Uncle's surprise 70th birthday party on the 3rd April. We are 4 adults and an 8 month old child in a 31 ft RV.

I'm looking for hints and tips really (hopefully not "don't do it"). I am concerned about weather conditions and that some RV sites may be closed due to the time of year. I have just looked at Crater Lake for instance and found that the two sites mentioned don't open till June!

Any ideas or opinions appreciated.

Hey jakecat, welcome to the forum. I would stay along US 101. Best scenery and closest to the Ocean which means you will have less chance of a Spring snowstorm. Also you will probably find more RV Parks open that time of the year on that route.
