Rubber striping arount the slideouts.

Hi. Has anyone replaced the rubber on the slide outs? The rubber is attached to the slide out itself not the MH. When I get the new rubber can I pull the old one out? It has torn on one side. Do I need to glue in the new rubber? It is on an Itasca MH 30'.

Mike,
I have never replaced the seal but should be no problem if it's the one on the slide. You should be able to remove the old and clean the surface good and install a new one. I'm sure you will need some type glue that the rv parts place can recommend. Maybe GTS or Ken will be able to help more.

Thank you for your reply. I will give it a try and wil keep you posted. We traveled this summer for two months and loved it. Thats when I noticed ruber squishing out from the slide out. It looks like at one time it had gotton stuck to the MH side and tore.
