rust

I recently bought a used class C Gulfstream and there's some rust underneath. It has been in Florida for a few years and hasn't been driven much over the past year. Can anyone advise me on the rust issue? Is there something I should do now before it gets worse or is that to be expected? Also, is there anything I can do to help prevent more rust? I have a cover on it but don't have a garage for it. Thanks, if anybody has any ideas.

Re: rust

The only thing you can do is a lot of elbow greese and then paint. Is it the frame you are talking about? It is pretty common for them to rust because most or some of the frames are not painted. Flordia vehicles will be worse because of the salt.
