I'm new to the rv world and I'm looking for suggestions, caveats regarding rv insurance. If anyone has any suggestions or experience buying rv insurance plese advise.

Check out Good Sam RV Club RV Insurance. It's called "VIP" and is part of GMAC. Works for me at a reasonable rate. Beat State Farm's rate a few years back when I started RV'ing.

A couple of really good companies that specalize in covering RVs and the needs of RV owners are:

    Aon Recreation at www.aon.com

    Miller RV Insurance at www.millerrvinsurance.com

We got the best price from Progressive, too. It was half what Farmer's wanted, and we have our homeowner's with them. No claim experience, yet.

Been paying approximately $375.00 per year for full coverage on an older 89 Class A. I think it is pretty reasonable. Part of homeowner's policy so discounted somewhat since I have auto, home, boat and trailer, and RV all with same company Farm Bureau.

I have Liberty Mutual on my travel trailer and they give me a better rate than Progressive. Worth checking out.
