RVing with a toddler

Are there ANY motor home manufacturers that are baby/toddler/child friendly? We have been unable to find any motor homes with LATCH system for toddler seats. The manufacturers all recommend that children be restrained in a forward facing seat, but the only available seats are the driver, passenger, and dinette seats. I don't think it is a good idea for him to be restrained where the table top would slam into him if we did have an accident. Also, that puts him so far from us that we can't hear or assist him from our seats. We put him side-facing on the sofa as a compromise. How hard would it be to make a dinette that converted to a pack 'n play? Does anyone know of any child-friendly Class A--gas or diesel--RV manufacturers?
