slideout question

I recently bought a 2000 Kit Road Ranger.
This weekend I had the slideout out and when I tried to bring it in, it didn't retract completely.
Upon further investigation I saw that a cardboard box was actually in the way (duh).
I opened the slideout completely again and retracted it. However, when I looked outside, now the top left corner does not suck completely in.
Are slideouts so fragile that by trying to close it on the box, I may have inadvertaly wrecked something?

Also, Is there a manual way, say forcing, the top left corner closed? I wanted to ask people who knew before I did something else stupid.

Re: slideout question

I don't know about your exact unit, but most slideouts have a manual crank system. There may be a couple of long crank handles in one of the bays.

The box probably caused something to slip. There are adjustments that you can make and then lock down. Something was probably loose and the pressure against the box caused it to slip.

There's also the Dometic refrigerator recall on that RV.
