Anyone know what is the best little car for gas miliage? Somewhere I seen where a small car was getting something like 40 MPG. Anyone know what that car may be?
Living on a fixed income I need to park the truck and get a small car to use for my errands around town.
    Thanks in advance,

The Honda Fit gets 38mpg and is pretty well equiped for $13,800 with 5spd man and $14,600 with 5spd auto. Toyota makes a series called Scion which gets about 38mpg and runs about the same price as the Honda. Both the Honda & Scion are 4dr models that years ago were called hatchbacks. Not sure what they call them now.

My 98 Escort wagon gets 41 hwy(@60mph) and 35 city(a little less using the A/C). Its a stick shift with the 2.0L split port. The sedans can get up to 2mpg more. Also the stick shift models can be towed on all 4s.
