I've been lurking around the site for several months. Will be retiring soon and part timing RVing looks very appealing.
No RV experience, was considering purchasing a recent model class C, however based on info from several sites indicate that the 1st RV I purchase will only help me decide what I really want.
So here is my plan, buy a used trailer RV try RVing for long weekends and short vacations to see if it's what we want to do. If RVing is right for us, move up to a Class C or a MDT/5th wheel for retirement and RVing part time, possibly to near full time later.
To minimize my initial expenses, I would like to purchase a trailer I can safely pull behind my 2006 Toyota Tundra V8 2WD Towing Capacity 7,300 lbs per the owners manual. What size trailer/weight should I be considering? Also any advice on what brand to consider or avoid would also be appreciated.
