I'm new to the forum, and hail from Cape Town, South Africa. My wife and I are in the process of relocating to Vancouver, and as a start are coming for a short visit as my wife is presenting an academic paper at Vancouver University at the end of June. After that, we'd like to do 2 weeks of exploring.
We're thinking of doing around 3000km northwards and back. Any suggestions for must-see destinations in a 3000km radius from Vancouver?
Secondly, we've scoured all the rental sites and the per mile cost is killing our budget. I've realised that there must be private rentals available somewhere, hence my posting. We are looking for a two-person RV or campervan. We are VERY non-smoking and nature lover types. I'm a professional photographer, my wife a university lecturer.
Can anyone suggest a friend who would rent out a van for a decent price for the first two weeks of July? We are flexible on dates.
