Hello there! We are new to the RV world. We are looking to purchase a travel trailer to pull with our 2007 Ford Expedition. Our truck does have 4 wheel drive and the added towing package. All of the dealers we have been to say we can tow up to 9,000 lbs. I believe all the printed material that has been shown to us, but I don't want to kill our truck either.

Any suggestions as to what is a comfortable weight? We do plan on traveling the country with product for our business (about 300lbs).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I pull a 3500 lbs 2008 Starcraft Travel star hybrid with my IInd gen Tacoma rated @ 6500lbs (tow package). leaving about 1500 lbs of margin from max tow capacity is a good idea. Hope helps.

Your Expedition should be able to tow 6 to 7,000 pounds without problems..good luck and welcome
