TT verses fiver

I'm new to this site. So a big hello to all the RV'ers out there. We are looking at buying an RV. Any comments on what the advantages are between a fifth wheel verses a travel trailer?

Appreciate your help.

Welcome to the forum. There are pros and cons with both. You will get better responses if you provide more details like how many people will be camping and what their sizes are (kids, adults, etc.), how you will be camping (full-timing or occasional weekend trips), and what your towing options/limits are.

Just a couple of quick differences ... the 5er is generally easier to tow and back into location without too much experience and they also seem to have more room inside but the downside is that you need a pickup as a tow unit whilst a TT is not necessarily limited to the PU.

Generally speaking the TT is most often an entry level RV and is best suited to weekend camping while 5th wheel can and is used more for extended RVing. However, there are many exceptions to this simple categorization. The 5th wheel tows much easier than a TT, but again you can get an expensive hitch that allows the TT to tow without swaying.
