I have a 2000 Tundra with ext. cab short bed. I would like to hear from other Tundra owners that tow a light weight fifth wheel. I have been told that I can, I have been told I can't. Can't seem to get an official position.Been told I can't tow because my axle is closer to the cab than a Ford short bed.

If that's the only reason, then some combination of extended pin and sliding hitch may allow you to tow a 5ver.

John I have even graphed it out but still can't come up with a satisfactory answer, that's why I wanted to hear from some Tundra owners that were already pulling fifth wheels. The center of my rear axle is only 32 inches from the cab,

Doesn't sound like its going to work, even with a 'narrow' 5ver. Well, another option is to go with a travel trailer. The PullRite hitch claims to make a TT pull 'just like' a 5ver.
