I new to RVing and was wondering, I just got my first TT and was wondering what is the determing factor on what kind of hitch to use . I just have a reese hitch and receiver and the camper I got hooks up Level so I am wondering if all I need now is sway control and my normal Reese hitch . Thanks for any help

Re: Weight distributing hitch or not?

You really have not given us enough information to give you good advice. If your trailer is light enough, and truck heavy enough, you can get by without the weight distributing hitch. You say "it hooks up level", so this might be the case.

Tell us the weight and length of your trailer and what your using to tow it.

RE: Weight distributing hitch or not?

My parents have a 1967 20' Norris TT. The dry weight is 2500 lbs. and we always used a reese hitch with sway control bars. My .02

need to know your tow vehicle and length and weight of your TT. just because it's level does'nt mean you're "ok"
