12 volt lights

I have a 2004 fifth wheel that I purchased 4 weeks ago, my wife and I went camping last week with it, we found that the lights inside the unit worked fine on the utility hook up but when on self containment the lights would not work off of the 12 volt system. Where to start looking for the problem?

Re: 12 volt lights

Start by checking the battery for full charge. Check the connection. When hooked to shore power the converter will supply the 12 vlots needed to run the lights.

also one other thing ,, but nash is right ,, but look and see if u don't have a disconnect for the batts ,, if it is off ,, then nothing will work ,, off battery ,, yes everything will work on shore ,, but not off just the batts ,, when not on shore power

And some rvs have more than one of them shut offs. Mine has one on a light switch inside the rv and three in other basement cabinets of the rv.
