I want to install a 12volt stereo in the living area of my RV. Does anyone know of a good websites that might offer some tips and tricks, or books that might help.

Try www.crutchfield.com. I've bought several car stereos from them and their customer support is great and they gave me an installation guide for free. they can provide what you need, ask for their catalog.

Check out the Sony line. The unit I am panting for is the Cassette Deck Receiver with CD changer controls, a changer and an XA300 box to allow input from VCR/DVD/TV and computer, all controlled from the receiver... This system also supports addition of satellite radio.
