1980 COACH Monitor panel works on 120V, but not on 12V.

I'm a rookie here, and just picked up a 1980 coachmen Leprechaun. The problem is that the monitor panel works when I have it plugged into the 120V shore line, but it does not work off the 12V battery. The battery is new and fully charged. I removed the front monitor cover to search for a fuse but saw none. I checked the fuses in the van fuse box and the fuses at the power converter and they all seem OK. Any ideas what I'm missing?

I just read an older post that says something along the lines of a rocker switch in the truck cab that may control the 12V power to the house part. I do have an aftermarket rocker switch that may be my answer! I did not know what it did, I figured it was exterior lighting or something, and was not aware that the 12V monitor panel has a switch. I'll give it a shot when I get home from work.
