The converter, 2 batteries and the switch on the slide of our rv went out at the same time! We took it to a dealer and paid $800.00 to fix it!! Has anyone with a Hurricane had this problem? Thanks, Peggy

If your batteries were more than 2 1/2 years old that could be the problem. Deepcycle marine batteries have an average life span of 3 to 3 1/2 years but are only guarrenteed for 2 1/2 years. If your batteries were bad it could have devistating effects on all of your electronics. I'm not sure of the size of your converter but it sounds like they may have overcharged you for repairs. $150 for batteries, $250 for the converter and $100 for the slide controller and 1.5 hours max. shouldn't have been more than $650 unless they had to take out a cabinet to get to the controller. They should not have charged you to take the old batteries since the battery companies are now taking them back at no charge.
