5th Wheel - Dead Battery

I came home this evening to find that the battery to the 5th wheel is dead. I am connected to shore power, I have power in the electrical outlets but no overhead lighting, heater, a/c or refrigerator. I changed the battery, all worked well until the new battery died. Any ideas?

Have you checked the convertor to see if it is putting out 13 volts to keep the battery charged. If it is start pulling 12 volt fuses one at a time to see what is draining the battery

Hey cavain0914, welcome to the forum. Check the convertor fuse if it has one.

also check the water in the battery. If it went dry, the battery is probably toast.

I have had the same problem when my connections to the battery from the junction box were loose.

RE: 5th Wheel - Dead Battery

Can the dealer check the converter to see if it is working.

We bought a new travel trailer last year and hadn't used it, but when we got the hook up to the house, just recently, the battery was dead and something keeps popping in the converter box. I can get the first two breakers on, but no power and when we try the third and final breaker it trips and there's a flash in the converter.

Any ideas?

But when I charged the battery and used it solely we had power to everything
