back up camera

I'm wanting to install a back up camera on my 1991 pace arrow m/h. I have the monitor from a previous system. Is it a big job to install the camera and run the cable underneath the m/h? I'm thinking I can bring the cable up at the console where you access the engine. Will it be a problem to run the cable inside the back wall to under the m/h?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: back up camera

Running the cables should not be very difficult but will require a lot of crawling about under the RV. I would run the cables by stringing them through where you want it and then go back and tie it up with wire ties from a home supply store. But check everything for continuity before you tie things down. If your camera is the same as mine the coaxial cable will supply the 12V power as well as carry the TV picture back to the monitor.

Before you buy the new camera, make sure that it is compatible with the present monitor. They are not always that way.
