i was greasing the ball joints on my 1987 chevy motorhome. i noticed grease came of the seal, but it was very small. should i be worried at this time, im driving to fl from mi. can i just watch it and keep grease in it. i might want to have it changed. its the lower joint. whats the parts number for it. 1987 champion lasalle chevy 454 p30 i think its a p30. also can i change it myself with out to much problems. i hate going to a garage my mother does better work.

If your speaking of the grease coming out around the rubber boot cap on the ball joint top, there is nothing to worry about, its just the excess grease being forced out.

As far as changing it yourself, if you have the mechanical ability and the tools, yes you can change it yourself.
