Replaced the batteries on my class C. Made sure all wires went back the same as they were originally. The last wire (green) that goes to the electric step module, (ground)touched the positive post, spatked and smoke came out u

Locate the fuse for the electric step module (should be in the RV’s fuse panel). If it’s blown, replace it and test the step.
