Beginner looking for advice

Hi, I lived in America for 25 years, my wife is from PA, we currently live in Ireland and are planning to spend probably half the year in America starting in the next few years. I do not want to buy property there but will be there too much to stay in hotels. We are considering buying a RV to stay in and travel when we are there. My brother owns a RV built on a freightliner chassis with a C15 cat engine and he loves it. I want to learn about the different RVs available, what to and not to look for, advice on RV living. Any recommendation's on where I should go to get the information I need.

1. Driving skills. 2. spece required 3. boondocks? 4. tow vehicle or not . 5. Diesel or gas . 5. Budget and how long will you plan to keep it? Need some basic details to narrow the field so to speak?.
 
I’d start with YouTube channels like RV Geeks and Keep Your Daydream — great for learning maintenance and lifestyle tips — and check IRV2 forums for honest advice before buying your first rig.
