bent awning roller

Did not have enough tilt on the awning and the rain weight in the awning bent the roller. How can it be straightened or should I replace the roller?
If I replace roller can I just replace tub and use the existing spring etc.? Thanks for any help.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Your tube is hard to straighten, in fact I doubt you will get it straight again. You can work it and get close but not perfect.

You can just replace the tube using your springs and hardware. It is not too hard to do except for winding the springs. That is not HARD, but you gotta stay on your toes or they will fly back and get you.

Ahhh...one reason to have insurance! I made the same mistake once or twice...
