Best Concrete Setup for an RV Parking Pad?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to pour a concrete RV parking pad and want to make sure it’s built to handle the weight of my rig without cracking or settling over time.

I know that RV pads need to be thicker than a standard driveway, but I’m unsure about the ideal thickness, reinforcement, and drainage setup to prevent issues down the line.

Has anyone here built a concrete pad for their RV? What thickness and reinforcement (rebar or wire mesh) worked best for you? Also, are there any recommended surface finishes or sealers to help protect against wear and weather damage?

Thanks!

I also wondered about the best way to handle drainage around the pad to prevent water pooling. Would a slight slope be enough, or should I install a dedicated drainage system? Curious to hear what has worked for others!
